An Overview Guide of Caribbean Cruise Lines

caribbean cruise vacation

There are many people across the world who plan to travel on Caribbean cruise ships to spend their holidays and have a relaxing time away from the fast life of metropolitan cities. But among these people, only a few of them have an idea about the variety of Caribbean cruise lines and options available. There are several major Caribbean cruise lines, each with their own story and eccentricities. These include Carnival Cruise lines, Princess Cruises, Norwegian Cruise lines, and most importantly the Royal Cruise lines. Among these the Royal cruise lines are the most famous with tourists throughout the world.

The Carnival Caribbean cruise line was founded in the year 1972 by a man named Ted Arison. This cruise is currently owned by Carnival Corporation, which also own a number of cruise lines like Holland America Line, Princess Cruises, Cunard Line, Costa Cruises, Windstar Cruises and the Yachts of Seabourn. The Carnival Cruise ships are known as the "fun ships" because of their Las Vegas style of decoration and the diverse forms of entertainment available on the ships. The Carnival cruise line boasts eight classes in their ships, which sail in the Caribbean throughout the year with Miami as their starting point.

The Princess Cruises are famous for their "Love Boats" because they were aired as love boats on several television shows in the early seventies. They are also famous for giving myriad choices to their customers regarding on-board facilities and services. These ships cruise in the Caribbean throughout the year with Miami as their starting point.

The Norwegian Cruise Lines, also called the NCL, were established in the year 1966 by two men: Knut Kostler and Ted Arison. NCL was the first company to combine the air and sea modes of traveling together into one package. This provided the tourists an opportunity to travel long distances at very low costs and that too with all the facilities available on board. It was also the first ever cruise which traveled across the Caribbean Sea. It also offered the first Internet cafe along with mobile and wi-fi services that were available on board.

The Royal Caribbean cruise lines have developed and expanded in the last few years and have introduced several innovative ships. They have over 20 kinds of ships in service from which travelers can choose according to their needs. They also have voyager class ships available, top of the line ships, which no other cruise line offers in their package.

Whichever cruise line you choose, we hope you enjoy your Caribbean cruise!
